Frequently Asked Questions

How do we book you to photograph our wedding?

Contact me to verify my availablity on your wedding date. We will meet to discuss your photography requirements and view sample albums.   A photography contract is completed and a deposit of 1/3 of the wedding package price is required to secure the date.

Do you hold dates

Yes, your booking deposit secures your date. A date booked without a deposit is not a valid booking.

Can we Upgrade to a different album after we book?

Yes. Upgrading is rarely a problem. But I like to know before your wedding in case I need to take any album specific images. As with everything here just ask.

How many photographs do you usually take at a wedding?

The amount of photographs usually depends on the size of your wedding and the coverage you go for. I can take anything between 800 images and 2000 images. You will see an edited selection of the best photographs from your day - This could be any number between 200 and 500 images, depending on the coverage you go for.

How soon after our wedding can we see the photographs?

Your photographs will be ready to view online in my password-protected gallery approximately  3 to 4 weeks after your wedding day.

How do I view my prints?

You will receive an email with a link to a password protected gallery.  You will then be able to view your images online.  Please feel free to share your gallery with family and friends.

Is it possible to get parent/bridesmaids albums made?

Yes. I offer smaller sized albums, which are beautiful gifts.

Do you shoot in colour or black & white?

I shoot everything in colour, however, I can convert any image into black & white or toned (sepia, selenium, etc.)  afterwards.  The proof gallery will contain images in colour and black and white, but you choose the style of finished image.

Do you travel for weddings?

I can travel anywhere to photograph a wedding.

Can we get prints made?

Yes.  I produce prints in-house in sizes from 6”x4 to A2 and I also supply frames.  If required, a DVD of printable images may be purchased.

Do you make copies of our photos?

I take every possible precaution to protect your images.  Upon returning to base, I import the images to my computer and make  backups to three external hard drives.  I make an additional backup to a portable hard drive that is stored offsite for added security and I also make a DVD copy.

What equipment do you use?

I use high end Nikon digital cameras and a variety of Nikon prime and zoom lenses and Nikon flash guns.  I print my images on Epson 3880 A2 printer using archival inks and Hahnemuehle and Permajet papers.  I print images to A2 size in-house.  Editing of photographs using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop is conducted on an Apple MacPro computer using two 24” HD screens.
