How do we book you to photograph our wedding?
Contact me to verify my availability on your wedding date. We will meet to discuss your photography requirements and view sample albums. A photography contract is completed and a deposit of 1/3 of the wedding package price is required to secure the date.
Do you hold dates?
Yes, your booking deposit secures your date. A date booked without a deposit is not a secure booking.
Can we Upgrade to a different album after we book?
Yes. Upgrading is rarely a problem. But I like to know before your wedding in case I need to take any album specific images. As with everything here just ask.
Do you travel for weddings?
I can travel anywhere within the country to photograph a wedding. Travel expenses and accommodation rates may apply.
Do you have a payment plan?
For wedding photography - Yes. The wedding payment is spread over 3 equal payments, booking fee, wedding day and delivery of finished package.
How many photographs do you usually take at a wedding?
The quantity of photographs usually depends on the size of your wedding and the coverage you go for. I can take anything between 800 images and 2000 images. You will see an edited selection of the best photographs from your day - This could be any number between 200 and 500 images, depending on the coverage you go for.
How soon after our wedding can we see the photographs?
Your photographs will be ready to view online in my password-protected gallery approximately 3 to 4 weeks after your wedding day.
How do I view my images?
You will receive an email with a link to a password protected gallery. You will then be able to view your images online. Please feel free to share your gallery with family and friends.
Do you offer Digital Packages?
Yes. I offer digital wedding packages where the images are supplied on a flash drive in a presentation box. There is the option to get matted and mounted prints as part of the package, therefore you can have physical images as well as the digital files.
Is it possible to get parent/bridesmaids albums made?
Yes. I offer smaller sized albums, which are beautiful gifts.
Do you shoot in colour or black & white?
I shoot everything in colour, however, I can convert any image into black & white or toned (sepia, selenium, etc.) afterwards. The proof gallery will contain images in colour and black and white, but you choose the style of finished image
Can we get prints made?
Yes. I produce prints in-house in sizes from 7”x5" to A2 and I also supply frames. If required, a flash drive of printable images may be purchased if this does not form part of your original package.
Who designs the album layout?
After you have selected the images for the album, I design it and send you a PDF for approval. Any changes you may require are then made and another PDF is issued. Only when you are happy with the layout is it sent to the printer.
Do you make copies of our photos?
I take every possible precaution to protect your images. Upon returning to base, I import the images to my computer and make backups to three external hard drives. I make an additional backup to a portable hard drive that is stored off-site for added security and I also use Backblaze for online backup and storage.
What equipment do you use?
I use Fujifilm digital cameras and a variety of Fujifilm prime and zoom lenses and flash guns. I print my images on Epson 3880 A2 printer using archival inks on Ilford, Canson, Hahnemuehle and Permajet papers. I print images to A2 size in-house. Editing of photographs using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop is conducted on an Apple Studio M1 Ultra computer using two 27” HD calibrated screens.
Do you provide a written contract?
A written contract is provided at the time of booking. It details the Terms and Conditions of the contract, the specific details of your wedding package and the payment schedule.
What is Copyright?
The person who creates a photograph owns the copyright, unless they decide to sell it. The person in the photograph is not the owner of the copyright. If a photographer provides you a Print Release it is not the same rights as copyright.
What is a Print Release?
The images provided to you are licensed to you for personal purposes only, including but not limited to: printing, emailing and web publishing. Scaled images with logo are provided for use on social media, email, web publishing etc.
Do you require a meal at a wedding?
Yes please, as it’s a long day without any break time and a meal is very much appreciated.
